Seriously, I think some foot fetishists don't really care what the feet look like, just that they can see them at all, lol. I don't just think that, actually, because it's totally true. There's not a jacked up pair of feet on this site that someone hasn't expressed their desire to....do stuff to them. And by jacked up, I mean feet that have no business in a pair of sandals, where calling the hammer toes and bunions on them merely "hammer toes and bunions," is the most polite way to put it. But if you do a little reading up on foot fetishism, you'll soon see that the majority of...us...prefer dirty, stinky feet - I definitely do not, but I prefer to think of myself as a foot connoisseur rather than a fetishist, lol. And just based on my own observations, it seems that the majority of them/us really don't care all that much for the actual form of the foot, or whether or not there are imperfections (i.e., hammer toes and bunions, skeletal talon-like toes, irregular toes, etc.) on them, simply that they are exposed to view.

But you're correct, and that's how I separate out the true fetishists from the 'mere admirers' here. Disagree on the dirty/stinky thing being the 'majority view' though, especially the 'dirty' part. I've seen many, many people express distaste or even revulsion at the 'dirty feet' pics, although that segment of the population that likes 'em is definitely here. But we better stop now, since we're both writers. I took a lotta crap last night about having a 'long-winded diatribe on every damn wall on the site!' Probably half-true.

To hell with that! I WILL NOT BE SILENCED! Only...I totally could be since I don't have the patience to approve 500 comments for Guild Chat. Haha, how'd you know I was a writer? I know more long-winded (long-penned?) guys who aren't writers. The "dirty/stinky thing" was taken from a study I read about fetishes in general, but it focused on BDSM, foot fetishism and people who like fat men/women. I'm not just making this stuff up. The findings were pretty conclusive, too. Most foot fetishists, especially men, love the odor of smelly feet as it incites a powerful chemical reaction that their brains interpret as sexual. I don't, personally, but if you've ever viewed any foot fetish porn and the like then you have to admit...it's all about foot worship and there is also an element of BDSM there as well, where typically the man is subservient to the woman. Haha, I only *wish* I could make this stuff up! I would have already published my first novel by now!

One last thing - another finding was that foot fetishists were also less concerned about a woman's appearance than they were about the feet. Again, not the case with me, personally, but there it is.

I can't speak for all fetishists. But I condider myself more than just an admirer, and I definitely have standards of shape, cleanliness, and upkeep.

I think foot fetishism is as full of variety as car enthusiasts or art appreciation.

There's a whole wide range of tastes here, from the 'aesthetes' who appreciate feet as a sort of side-note or add-on, to the admirers & enthusiasts, all the way up to hardcore true fetishists (and some freaks, perverts & sickos here also...)
